Alexandria, Jake, Caitlin and Veronica, ages 5 to 15, reveal what it’s like to live with physical disabilities. Their parents search out nurturing opportunities where they are accepted and feel valued, from clinical services and adaptive skiing to a unique after-school dance program in Queens, New York. The students prepare for an exciting spring dance recital made possible by the dedicated involvement of parents, teenage volunteer helpers, choreographers and physical therapists who believe in them and support their dreams.

These strong-willed students accept each challenge with grace and dignity, offering proof that desire, hard work and the support of a loving community can afford them rich and meaningful lives. With a "can do" spirit, they become eloquent advocates for the powers of inclusion, respect and empathy - inspiring viewers to create a world where these virtues are perfectly normal.
