About This Series
Hosted by film, television and stage actor Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker, Captain America: The Winter Soldier), season six of AfroPop: The Ultimate Cultural Exchange brings to viewers five compelling documentaries on contemporary African Diaspora. From the basketball courts in New York City's parks to a United Nations "special court" in Freetown, Sierra Leone, these five stories capture, examine and share the lives of individuals and communities from around the world.
AfroPop: The Ultimate Cultural Exchange is produced by the National Black Programming Consortium (NBPC), and co-presented by American Public Television (APT).
