About This Episode

John Leguizamo is a Colombian American actor, film producer, author, voice artist, and comedian. Born in Bogota, Columbia, Leguizamo's family emigrated to New York City when John was four. He would later credit his small stature in rough neighborhoods like Queens, and Jackson Heights as the reason for developing his acting and comedy skills at a young age.

Best known for his work in ER, Moulin Rouge!, Ice Age, as well as his own unique brand of stand up comedy, Leguizamo has won several awards for his performances. Most notably Leguizamo won the Drama Desk Award’s “Outstanding One Person Show” for his performance in Freak, a one-man Broadway production he wrote, directed and starred in based on his life. It was later produced into a film for HBO directed by Spike Lee.
