New York Live co-host and Tom Joyner Morning Show contributor Jacque Reid pursued journalism during her undergraduate education at Clark Atlanta University. She later received her master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University. Thrust into the national spotlight in 1999 as anchorperson for CNN's Headline News, Carter joined BET’s Nightly News as lead anchor in 2001. Today she contributes to a wide range of shows across the broadcast spectrum and is a strong voice in the world of television. In 2004, she served as political correspondent for CNN during the Republican National Convention and covered the 2008 presidential election and inauguration on BET's TV One.

Over the course of her career, Reid has co-hosted several morning shows and appeared on The View, Nightline, Larry King Live, The Joy Behar Show, The Wendy Williams Show and Anderson Cooper's daytime talk show, Anderson Live. She recently founded her own non-profit organization called The Reid Group, giving 10 Clark Atlanta University journalism students the opportunity to participate in news internships and learning workshops conducted by the nation's top journalists in New York City.
