Delroy Lindo is an English born actor of the stage and screen. Born to Jamaican immigrants in Lewisham, England, Lindo's family moved several times before settling in San Francisco with his mother at the age of sixteen. It was here Lindo graduated from the renowned drama school, the American Conservatory Theater.

Best known for his roles in Ransom, Get Shorty, Malcolm X, Crooklyn, and Gone in 60 Seconds, Lindo was nominated for a 1988 Tony for Best Actor playing the title role in August Wilson's masterpiece, Big Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Lindo has continues to star in big roles for television, film, and Broadway theater.
